Thirty-five years in public education gives me unique information to share with the school board.
It is the responsibility of the School Board to educate all students to their greatest potential. As a retired elementary teacher with 35 years experience in the Santa Maria-Bonita School District, I have the background to recognize the importance of short-range projects while not losing sight of our long-term goals. My experience has included both traditional as well as year-round school schedules. My knowledge of the positives and negatives of both schedules will add a depth to the current board decisions and policies.
All my adult life has been spent in public education, and it is important to me that I "Share the Experience" with my community!
