EXPANSION OF OUR RETAIL SECTOR, GROUP AND YOUTH VOLUNTEER COOPERATION TO "WATCH DOG" OUR BEACHES, AND STREAMS. EXPANSION OF FESIABLE TRANSPORTATION AND HOUSING FOR LIMITED INCOME FAMILIESCARPINTERIA WAS NEVER MENT TO BE A "DEL MAR" OR A SIMI VALLEY". WE DO NOT HAVE THE ROOM, LAND OR INCLINATION. BUT, WE NEED TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO HOUSE MANY OF THE LOWER INCOME PERSONS IN THE VALLEY. ONE OF MY MAIN GOALS IN THIS ELECTION IS TO GET ALL PERSONS INVOLVED, NOT JUST NOW, BUT LONG TERM. WE ALL NEED TO TAKE AN INTEREST IN OUR RIVERS, BEACHES AND STREAMS, AND WE AS GROUPS OF 2,3, OR MORE CAN INVESTIGATE AND TAKE ON SOME OF THESE PROJECTS. THERE MUST BE A WAY TO EXPAND OUR RAIL SYSTEM, AND I BELIEVE THAT IF THE "BIG CITIES, AS NEW YORK, AND BAY AREAS" CAN MOVE MULTIPLES OF PEOPLE, WE CAN DO THE SAME, AND WITHIN A COMPARATIVE BUDGET. RELIEVE THE "STRESS FROM OUR FREEWAY SYSTEMS" AND MAKE COMUTING A PLEASURE, NOT A CHALLENGE. HAVING MY INVOLVEMENT IN 3 YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS, I AM WELL AWARE OF THE NEED FOR MORE GAME AND PRACTICE FIELDS. IT TAKES TAX DOLLARS, AND TIME TO BUILD OR CREATE THESE "DREAMS", BUT ONCE AGAIN I SAY WE AS THE PERSONS OF THIS COMMUNITY CAN AND WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE . BUT, WE MUST REMEMBER THAT WE ARE GOVERN BY NOT JUST OUR CITY COUNCIL AND OUR COMMISSIONS, BUT, THE COASTAL COMMISSION, WHOM AS A GOVERNING BASE HAS THE LAST SAY SO ON ALL PROJECTS. IF WE CAN DIVISE A PLAN TO MOLD OUR COMMUNITY AND ESTABLISH, RETAIL, AFFORDABLE HOUSING WITHIN OUR CITY LIMITS, COMUTER TRANSPORTATION, AND STAY "HAPPY" AT THE SAME TIME, I'D SAY WE HAD IT ALL. |
