Your Tax Dollars and New Property Taxes

A new form of hidden back-door property taxation without your consent???
I continue to be a strong supporter of Proposition 218, The Right To Vote On Taxes Act! Just a few years ago many elected local goverment leaders spoke out in opposition to Prop-218. Many of those same opponents have found a new way to slide in a new form of hidden back-door property taxation - without your consent! Western Municipal Water District has been a leader in Riverside County in claiming a loophole in Prop-218, thereby placing the monthly sewer bill onto the property taxes of homeowners each year. Utility bills were NEVER intended to become new taxes on our homes! I will continue to speak out on behalf of homeowners who oppose this form of taxation, and I will work to help stop the spread of this new taxation BEFORE it spreads into other communities in Riverside County.

Respecting your hard earned tax dollars will be my priority. I will NOT waste your hard earned tax dollars on expensive travel junkets. I learned long ago that most conferences for elected officials are nothing more than taxpayer funded social gatherings. Let's keep the spending reasonable and let's try to keep the tax dollars in our communities and our county by giving local businesses a reasonable chance to bid. The good-ol-boy network needs to be unplugged!
