I am very proud to be an incumbent of the Jurupa Unified School District Board of Education. Thank You for your Vote!MARY L. BURNS AGE: 52 Housewife and Mother Same Mira Loma address for over 25 years Rubidoux High School Graduate I am very proud to be an incumbent of the Jurupa Unified School District Board of Education. It has been an honor to be a part of the important decisions that affect the operation of our schools and the education of our students. I have focused on two major issues - rapid growth of the area, and the quality of education. To ensure adequate school facilities we have completed Peralta, our 16th elementary school; opened Mira Loma Middle School; completed the third phase of Jurupa Valley High School; and, upgraded and modernized the Rubidoux campus. Many new educational programs have been implemented. We added a class period to all middle schools; reduced class sizes in all Kindergarten, First and Second grades; adopted a Technology plan making computers available to students at all schools, and are upgrading standards and assessments in four academic areas with Phase I being the important basics – Reading, Writing, and Math. My full time focus is the Board of Education. My spare time is devoted to several community activities including serving on the Jurupa Mountains Cultural Center board, as well as being a member of the Stringfellow Advisory Committee. I especially enjoy giving my classroom presentations about rocks and minerals. Thank you for your vote. MARY L. BURNS Phone: 909-685-6026 mailto: burns@dreamsoft.com A Vote for Mary L.
