Now is the time to incorporate certain areas of El Modena into the city of OrangePeople living in unincorporated areas of El Modena should enjoy then benefits of living in the City of Orange. These people live in areas that are surrounded by Orange, but not part of the city. Shouldn't they enjoy the same services that the rest of us have? Simple things like sidewalks, lighting and decent streets. Much of this area is in need of repair and maintenance. Some people look down upon those living in El Modena as second class citizens. Traditionally a poor area, El Modena is rich with Spanish and Mexican heritage. Over the years many families have been raised in this area. Now is the time for El Modena to join the City of Orange. It's time to put some of our efforts into those who have lived and grown next door to the city of Orange and not just cater to those fortunate few who can afford to live in two story hillside estates or minifarms in the hills of Orange. |
