Opening Up The System to the Community

At the Board level I would make sure that the meetings are open and that closed sessions are held to a minimum.

Currently, the Board is in closed session more than they are in open session. The Board members do not reach out to the community. I open with the question: "Do you know the names of your Rancho Santiago Community College Board members?" If you do not, then there's a major problem of outreach to the community by the Board members. As a future Trustee, I would extend myself personally and professionally to every neighborhood in the District.
