My business career includes 23 years with the World Bank in Washington D.C. There I was responsible for the Bank's use of computers, communications and other forms of technolgy. I set polocies for technology use and directed the delivery of information and technology services to over 10,000 staff members. I had full accountability for an operating budget in excess of 20 million dollars per year and a staff of over 400 people. Prior to working at the World Bank, I was on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin where I directed the University's Computing Center which was used to support education and research throughout the State of Wisconsin. Prior to the University of Wisconsin, I was employed by the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica where I managed various activities of a major, national computer system developed for the U.S. Air Force. |
