Balance: Environmental protection and economic vitality

I am committed to maintaining the balance between protecting the extraordinary land on which we live and sustaining a thriving economy.

I co-authored Novato's Urban Growth Boundary, sought and won 70% voter support, and implemented a powerful weapon to stop sprawl. Under my leadership, our city dramatically increased open space, created a wildlife preserve, purchased Scottsdale March and pushed forward a 1000 acre wetlands restoration at Hamilton.
