Cathy Prout A Proven Leader As one of your City Council Members, I have worked hard to make Shafter a community to be proud of. I have served on the Council during a challenging period in our history, when most small cities have experienced severe hardship and have doubtful futures. I am proud to say that we have improved our financial position and our future is full of excitement and hope. I have not stood idly by and watched the world change around us without taking action to give you, the citizens of Shafter, the things you need and want from your city government. I do not just talk about change or things that should be accomplished, I roll up my sleeves, work hard, and take informed and positive action. You have relied on me to be involved and to carry through on my commitments. I have listened to your concerns and have aggressively championed those concerns for the betterment of all of Shafter. My work on the City Council has made a difference and I'm very proud of it. Following are some of the accomplishments I'm most proud of being a part of:
We are at a turning point in our history. I have worked hard for you to get to this turning point and I look forward to continuing this work. I'm excited about the work we have done on the Council and the future of this great community. With your help, we can fulfill our vision and make Shafter one of California's premier cities.
