I have lived in the boundaries of the Rescue School District for 19 years with my husband and two children. I have served on the RUSD board for the past two years. Board highlights during this time include, the implementation of the 20 students per teacher ratio for grades K-3 at all four elementary sites, identification of housing and facility needs at each site, the passing of Measure K, and communication was enchanced with the creation of a district newsletter. I have earned my Master Boardsmanship Award by attending over 100 hours of workshops on such topics as curriculum, legislation, leadership skills, and budgeting. I have been an active parent volunteer, girl scout and cub scout leader, member of the district housing committee, PTA board member, Scrip program coordinator, site council member, served on the Cameron Park Advisory Council, District Budget Task Force, Rescue Schools' Foundation, and co-coordinated the community tile wall fundrasiser at Green Valley School.
