RUTH SOLOMON

Biographical Sketch

Ruth Solomon is serving her second term as State Democratic Senator from District 14, Tucson. She is serving as Assistant Minority Leader for the Forty-Third Legislature. Senator Solomon served three terms in the Arizona House of Representatives prior to her election to the State Senate.

Senator Solomon was born and reared in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Arizona where she also pursued her graduate studies.

Senator Solomon is married to Arthur Solomon and has a son, Barry, and a daughter-in-law, Melissa and a grandson, Daniel Brian.

Senator Solomon is an outspoken advocate for children and families. She has devoted much of her private and professional life to the betterment of the lives of children and families in Arizona.
