All legislative districts should have the choices that await voters in District 25 for the House of Representatives, including the two Democratic incumbents Ken Cheuvront and Christine Weason.

The decisions that await the Legislature in the next session require fresh thinking and energizing perspectives.

District 25 voters deserve fresh approaches, dynamic ideas and new solutions.

That's why our recommendation for the second seat goes to John Buttrick, Libertarian.

Buttrick distinguished himself and his party in his campaign for governor four years ago. He was - and is - a class act, brimming with imaginative ideas in the well-reasoned mold that our Founding Fathers first crafted.

From moving to abolish the state income tax, to fighting for parents' rights to educate their children at home, Buttrick will be a welcome spice in the brew of intellectual mediocrity that too often bubbles to the top in the Legislature.

"In this election," he says, "you have two votes for state representative. If you feel you must spend one of them on an old party candidate, then do so. But please don't waste your second vote also. Cast it for John Buttrick. Don't we deserve at least one out of 90 state legislators to be an independent voice not controlled by the old political parties?"

We think all of Arizona would benefit by John Buttrick's representation in the Arizona Legislature.
