Marsha Feinland, age 48, is a parent, a teacher and a local public official. She has a B.A. in history and an M.S. in education.
Since 1969 she has taught at levels from pre-school through community college, including a job as director of the Hoopa Tribal Day Care Center. While teaching in Oakland Children's Centers and presently as an elementary school teacher in Alameda, Feinland has been a union activist.
Feinland is North State Chair of the Peace & Freedom Party. She was elected in 1994 to the Berkeley Rent Stabilization Board as part of a pro-tenant slate. |
