I am Roy Franklin Que-Heath. I was born in San Diego and have been a resident of San Jose since 1952 except while serving in the Army. I attended public schools in San Jose Unified School District and received a BA in Political Science from San Jose State in 1970. I enlisted in the Army in 1972 and served as a Medic in Germany and at Ft. Campbell. After returning to San Jose I was hired as an Engineer Technician by the City of San Jose. I met my future wife, Lolita Que, a few months after she came here from the Philippines and we were married in 1984. We bought a condominium later that year in the Tamien neighborhood. We have three children, all of who are attending schools in San Jose Unified. I have participated in a variety of public forums, including Transportation 2000, Guadalupe Corridor, the Tamien Area Plan, San Jose Unified School District "Committe of 100" and Graystone Elementary Home and School Club. I have also been a candidate for school board twice. In my work place, I have been active in American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employee's Local 101, Municipal Employee's Federation Chapter as an Executive Boardmember, Steward and Treasurer. I also have represented my chapter on the Local 101 Board, the South Bay Labor Council and AFSCME Council 57. I have run twice for school board and am now running for San Jose City Council.
