THE AUDIT TEAM REPORTED 18 DEFICIENCIES OF THE SAUSALITO SCHOOL DISTRICT INCLUDING SERIOUS LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNING INADEQUACIES. THE REPORT STATED THAT ADMINISTRATION AND STAFF DO NOT USE POLICY AS THE PRIMARY INGREDIENT IN DECISION- MAKING. TEACHERS AS TIRED BY THEIR SILENCE. EXISTING CURRICULUM IS UNCHALLENGING. TEACHERS DO NOT TEACH TO CURRICULUM AND HAVE LOW EXPECTATIONS FOR STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT. CLASSROOM DISCIPLINE IS A MAJOR PROBLEM. THE R IS NO DESIGNATED PLACE OR PERSON TO TO SUPERVISE NECESSARY STUDENT DETENTION AND ACCOUNTABILITY DOES NOT EXIST IN THE SYSTEM. THE AUDIT TEAM MADE NUMEROUS RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CORRECTIONS BUT EXPRESSED DOUBT THAT THE CURRENT BOARD AND SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION HAVE THE CAPACITY TO IMPLEMENT THE RECOMMENDATIONS. |
