He has broad experience in all phases of trial and appellate practice in the Courts of California. Today in Marin, our courts need pragmatic reforms to adjust fully to a growing workload. In California's Superior court system the civil case filings notably exceed criminal filings by more than five hundred percent. Steven Hoffer has litigated and settled a wide array of complex civil cases. He will fulfill your mandate to deter violent crime. Marin needs judges with the expertise to resolve legal disputes justly, to revise arcane jury instructions, to facilitate settlements efficiently, and to improve access by using new technology effectively.
