Smart Voter on National TV!

Did you miss the PBS program "Internet Cafe" during the week of January 9? It featured our project director, Trudell Een, describing Smart Voter as part of its show on Online Activism.

The Internet Cafe will be repeating the Smart Voter show the week of April 24. Check local listings for your PBS affiliate.

Smart Voter '98

The League of Women Voters is getting ready for 1998! We plan to support both the primary election on June 2 and general election in November. In addition to San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties, we are working to support a few more counties around the state. Candidates in Marin, Orange, and San Mateo counties and statewide candidates are now entering data for their free webpage!

And since this is a statewide election, every online voter in the state can use our information for the races for U.S. Senator, the State Executive Offices, and the nine propositions on the ballot in June.

Consult the Secretary of State's Primary Election site for a wealth of information on all of the statewide races:

Voter Information Guide: The online version of the 1998 California Voter Information Guide and Ballot Pamphlet that you will soon receive in the mail. Look here to find statements from all statewide candidates and voter information on all propositions.
Election Divisions Home Page. Provides info about voting and registering to vote, past election statistics, and more.
Political Reform Division Home Page. Campaign Finance Information from past elections is available.
