Education & Qualifications:

Four years ago, I ran for Town Council on a platform of "preserving the
character of Portola Valley." The voters who elected me apparently agreed with
this goal, and now I would like to continue on the council, working again to
preserve the character of our town. This is a challenging task given the growth
pressures before us. I have learned a lot about the "art" of democracy, and the
issues we face, and look forward to another four years with the voters'
approval.

During the last four years we have managed the Town's finances responsibly,
worked to strengthen controls on excessive development, revised and updated our
General Plan, and completed a number of key renovation and open space
acquisition projects.

I will be open-minded and practical in addressing the issues that come before
the council. My goal will be to responsibly preserve what drew us all here in
the first place.
