Robert E. Boeddiker Age: 76 Occupation: Retired Insurance Broker Education & Qualifications: I did my undergraduate work at the University of California at Berkeley and I received a law degree from the University of San Francisco. I am a retired Lt. Colonel in the Marine Corps reserve. My Marine Corps experience included active duty during World War II and the Korean War. Other civic activities included work with the Hoover Boys Club and as President of the Kiwanis Club. I take great pride in the accomplishments of the fire district since I was first appointed to the board in 1993. Since that time a seventh station was added, equipment was upgraded, the paramedic program was enhanced, and the search and rescue task force was enlarged. Additionally we initiated legislation to improve fire protection in our schools and to remove the safety hazard of non-release window bars. All the improvements were done within budget and without using voter approved benefit assessment tax money. My devotion to this area goes back to 1949 when my wife and I first started our family. If you reelect me to the board I know I can continue to contribute to the quality of life and safety that we all enjoy in the Menlo Park Fire District. /s/ Robert E. Boeddiker
