Detailed Biography for Perry H. Bautista

I was born on July 27, 1948, in Santa Maria, CA. After graduating from high school, I joined the U.S. Army in 1967 and was assigned to the Presidio of San Francisco for 3 years. I got married in 1970. My wife, Jackie (a third- generation San Franciscan), and I have two children (Michael and Laura).

We bought a home in South San Francisco (Westborough) in 1974 and have lived in this community over 23 years. During that time, I have been actively involved with numerous community programs such as: The Westborough Community Swimming Pool and Advisary Committee, the Save Foxridge School Group, the Westborough Roundtable and the League of Westborough Voters.

In 1989, I was elected as a Director to the Westborough Water District and have served in that capacity for the last eight years. During that time, I have learned many things about water and sewage services (especially in the Westborough community). I gained valuable knowledge and experience by actually dealing with the drought and earthquake problems of the late 80's and early 90's.

I have been a police officer in San Francisco for the past 27 years and look forward to retiring when I'm 55 years old (2003).
