Small businesses enhance our neighborhoods because they increase our sense of community. Our Citizens value the level of service and support they get at small businesses and appreciate their involement in major community activities. We need to help these small businesses continue to grow by providing the necessary assistance to stay competetive and profitable. Their profitability is vitally important to the financial needs of the city.

Big business is also very important to this city. Our proximity to BART, CalTrain, SamTrans and the airport make this city attractive to all forms of large businesses. These businesses together with the hotel/covention and growing cultural arts community must be developed to continue to give this city its attractive advantage over other communities. I will work very hard to see that this happens to the advantage of the citizens.
