Mary Hobbs Occupation: Health Educator Education & Qualifications: Master's in Public Health - work in health care. The Mid Coast Community Council serves in an advisory capacity to the County Board of Supervisors, so communication with the Supervisors about important issues on the midcoast is essential. There are many steps the council can take to be more persuasive with the Supervisors. I am ready to bring my political experience to a seat on the Mid Coast Council to make our opinions and needs clearly heard and respected in Redwood City. I've attended most of the MCC meetings since its inception, usually behind the MCTV camera. I have served in a volunteer capacity as the coastal field representative for a member of the Board of Supervisors for 5 years, sharing facts and the spectrum of opinions voiced at meetings. Since 1983 I've volunteered with Sierra Club to protect our coast, being involved to some extent with every major planning / environmental issue on the coast. I know how to positively effect the County process and how to communicate with county officials. I hope you will give me the opportunity to lend my experience and energy to protecting our very special environment and our wonderful small-town quality of life. /s/ Mary Hobbs
