Education & Qualifications:

Your voice can be heard. How will development of the coast affect your quality
of life? Do you feel powerless as decisions are made about your neighborhood
without your consent?

As a resident, homeowner, and mom, in El Granada, I have experienced these
feelings. My commitment to you, as a member of the Midcoast Community Council,
would be to increase the Council's power and usefulness for our residents. We
need a forum where we can be heard, understood and yet feel safe expressing
ourselves.

A strong Council is not enough. I would strive toward increasing the quality of
the Council's relationship with the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors. The
Supervisors need to place a high value on the Midcoast Council's
recommendations.

You can feel comfortable with me representing you on the Midcoast Community
Council. I appreciate the importance of balance, between the individual needs
of the community and the developmental needs of the coast.
