After 22 years in the Marines, from which he retired as a captain, John launched his business career. For the past 13 years he has been senior vice president of operations for Telogy Inc., a high technology electronic company that he helped found in 1984. Inc. Magazine once ranked Telogy as the 66th fastest growing company in America. John is a member of the San Mateo Rotary Club, and a member of the Rotary's Scholarship Committee that presents scholarships to high school students in San Mateo.
He is a volunteer for the "career day" at various San Mateo schools, including bringing high school youngsters to his electronics business, Telogy, to see his electronic company firsthand. John is on the Board of Directors of the San Mateo County Economic Development Association. He is a former president of the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce and a member of the San Mateo Chamber of Commerce.
