Jeff Ira wants to make our City a safer place to live and work. That is why, Jeff wants to take steps that will reduce crime in all our neighborhoods. Our residents deserve no less.
To accomplish this, Jeff Ira plans to deter crime by hiring more police officers, so that their presence is more visible. Jeff will also increase successful and innovative techniques, such as community policing. Both of these steps will benefit our Residents by preventing crime before it happens.
Everyday much of Redwood City's youth are exposed to violence, drugs and crime. This leads to some of children becoming criminals while others become crime victims. Because our children are too valuable to sit back and hope for the situation to improve, Jeff Ira wants to take proactive steps to find solutions to these problems.
Jeff Ira will increase Redwood City's youth programs that will provide the increasing number of latch key kids and our youth at risk, with a safe place to participate in useful activities. This will not only prevent our children from becoming potential crime victims, but this will also give them with alternatives to a path that may lead them into becoming participants in criminal and gang activities. Jeff Ira will keep our Children Safe.
