Eric Bloom has been a Palo Alto resident for 30 years. He grew up in Barron Park, attending Palo Alto public schools, Foot Hill College, and earning his BA degree in American Studies at the University of California, Davis.
He spent 3 years as the Operations Manager at PASCO and worked on the Downtown Environmental Action Program (DEAP), a coalition of city staff, downtown business people, and volunteers to create a business recycling program. Eric's contribution was detangling operational problems that inhibited quick and easy collection of recyclables.
Eric currently teaches computer applications through his own business in Palo Alto and is enrolled at San Jose State, studying to get his teaching credential to teach History and Social Studies for Junior High school.
He lives with his wife, Jane in Midtown. Jane works in international marketing for Netscape Communciations. Eric is an Eagle Scout from Troop 2 in Palo Alto and a volunteer at JLS Middle school.
Eric is concerned about preserving the quality of life that has made Palo Alto a great place to live in a time of tremendous change!
