Detailed Biography for Cathy Kroymann

I am a parent of two children in the District, a freshman and a senior at Palo Alto High School. Since moving to Palo Alto with my family in 1986, I have been a full time volunteer in the schools and the community . During my eleven years, I have worked with teachers and students in classrooms and schools at every level in the District and have served on a variety of committees, both school site and district-wide. Additionally, I have coached numerous AYSO soccer, SAY basketball, and T-Ball teams. I currently serve as President of the Association for Senior Day Health and on the Advisory Board for Adolescent Counseling Services.

Following is a partial list of my experiences in the District:

  • Steering Committee member, PAUSD partnership with Joint Venture Silicon Valley - 1995 to present
  • Parent representative on the Joint Advisory Committee for Evaluation Procedures, 1994 to present
  • Schools for the 21st Century Strategy Committee member - 1994 to 1997
  • Facilitator, Jordan Middle School Site Council - 1995-96
  • Superintendent's Administrative Council - 1994-96
  • Measure B (school bond) Campaign Steering Committee member - 1994-95
  • President: Palo Alto Council of PTAs - 1994-96, Jordan PTA 1992-94, Duveneck PTA 1991-92
  • Elected site council member: Paly - 1996 to present, Jordan 1994-96, Duveneck 1992-94
  • School Board Observer since 1992.
