I am a long-time resident of Portola Valley, and love the low-key rural nature
of our town. I am committed to maintaining and improving this pleasant and
relaxed atmosphere.

As an organizer and leader of various organizations and committees, I have had
considerable experience in working with limited resources, diverse groups, and
with those who hold widely divergent points of view. My approach is to
patiently gather the facts, do my homework, listen to all interests, consider
all options available, and then come to a fair, reasoned, and balanced
decision.

Recently, some in town government seem to have moved away from the process I've
outlined. If you believe, as I do, that openness, disclosure, and balanced
decisions are the hallmark of good government, then I ask for your vote.
