ANTHONY JAMES (A.J.) MILEY      Age: 55
Occupation: School Bus Driver

Education & Qualifications:

Born in San Francisco, I moved to Westlake in 1952. I was a student at Colma,
Jefferson, and Westmoor. I hold a BA in creative arts from San Francisco State
University.

I believe it is time to bring Christian values back into our public school
system, and return our schools to an independence free from the dictate and
control of our federal government.

I have served on the board of directors of Mid Coast T.V., Pacific Coast T.V.,
and I am a member of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, Pacifica.

In addition to being a school bus driver, I am retired as an assistant manager
from a major grocery store chain. If you want experience in finance, try
balancing the weekly books for a fifteen register grocery store. I am also
experienced at running my own business.

While working on the Jefferson Elementary School Board, I will pay special
attention to finances, and curriculum of the Jefferson Elementary School
District.

I am against outcome based education, and feel each child should be permitted
to excel to the heights of their own abilities. We do not need to pace our
education process to the speed of the slowest learner.

My eleven year old daughter attends Westlake School.
